The original visionary behind The Glow Up Bar. (And your favorite lash tech)
For Rae, The Glow Up Bar started with a simple idea: create a space where women could feel confident, supported, and empowered to build something of their own. A licensed cosmetologist with almost a decade of experience behind the lash bed, Rae has built her career through a combination of artistry, education, and a genuine passion for helping others succeed. As an educator and pioneer in the beauty industry, she’s always been driven to learn, teach, and push the industry forward.
But her passion extends far beyond beauty.
Rae is deeply committed to giving back to the Naugatuck community and creating meaningful opportunities for the women around her. Whether she's mentoring another beauty professional, educating clients, or simply making someone feel a little more confident walking out the door, helping women is at the heart of everything she does.
The Glow Up Bar is a reflection of that vision — a place where beauty professionals can grow their careers, build their businesses, and create a community of their own.
What started as Rae's vision has grown into a collective of talented women who share the same belief: when women support women, everyone has the opportunity to glow.

Co-Owner & Your Spray Tan Girl
Beauty has always been a part of Angi’s world. Originally a licensed esthetician in Florida, she began her career in the beauty industry working in skincare and bridal makeup before eventually stepping away from the industry to pursue other ventures.
But one part of beauty always pulled her back — tanning. Nothing makes a Florida girl feel more confident than being perfectly bronzed.
What started as a love for creating the perfect glow quickly became a passion of its own. Today, Angi is the face behind the spray tanning experience at The Glow Up Bar, bringing her eye for detail, beauty background, and obsession with a flawless, natural-looking tan into every appointment.
As co-owner, Angi also works behind the scenes on branding, marketing, operations, client experience, and growing The Glow Up Bar into the community-focused space Rae originally envisioned. For her, it’s about more than making people look good — it’s about creating a place where women can feel confident, supported, and excited to show up as their best selves.
A love for beauty brought her here. A love for the glow made her stay.
